Halloween 2026 in Sunflower Land: a haunted island, a survival minigame and a shop with 29 prizes

Sunflower Land is getting its Halloween 2026, and this time the community is making it: artists and players built a whole island with its own minigame, two new characters and a shop full of decorations and outfits. Here is how to get there, what you can win and what everything costs.

In short

From the world map you travel to the Halloween island (you need level 2). Vampire Jim gives you a Cultist Crow once. Skelly Joe takes you to the Sunflower Survivors minigame, where you earn Halloween Tokens. With those tokens, and with FLOWER, you shop at the event store, which opens section by section. And if you hold Halloween Tickets, you are in the running for FLOWER when the event ends.

The event starts on October 26 at 00:00 UTC and ends on November 2 at 00:00 UTC, which is the evening of November 1 across the Americas. After that the island and the shop go away.

A new island on the map

During the event the world map changes: at the bottom, in the middle, a dark island shows up with the sign "Halloween Event". Tap it to travel. If your Bumpkin is not level 2 yet, you will see a padlock.

A nice touch: the island has a layer of scenery (trees, graves, fences) that fades out when your Bumpkin walks behind it, so you never lose sight of them. At the entrance there is a board with the names of the people who made the event.

Vampire Jim and Skelly Joe

Two new characters live on the island. Vampire Jim loves Halloween and slips you a gift "on the quiet": a Cultist Crow, a crow in a red robe. It is free and can be claimed once per farm, so it is the first thing worth doing when you arrive.

Skelly Joe looks after the minigame portal. He wears the shop's priciest outfit (the skeleton mask and costume, the Sky Tearer wings, the bat aura and the Scary Nights background), so he doubles as a showcase of how it all looks on.

The minigame: Sunflower Survivors

Talking to Skelly Joe takes you into Sunflower Survivors – Halloween Edition. Your mission: survive and defeat the evil sorcerer trying to take over the Lands. As you play you pick up experience orbs; the more you collect, the more Halloween Tokens you earn.

What kind of survival game is it?

It is in the style of Vampire Survivors: your character attacks on its own and you only move to dodge ever-bigger waves of enemies. The challenge is to hold out and grab orbs without getting surrounded.

Unlike other portals, this mission can be repeated: claiming the prize once does not lock it. The prize comes in tiers: it pays the tier your latest run reached, so more orbs means more tokens. How many orbs each tier asks for is set by the game's server, not the public code.

The event shop, section by section

The shop has 5 sections. At first only the basic one is open. To open the next you have to buy a certain number of different items: buying the same thing 3 times counts as one. Each item is paid in Halloween Tokens or in FLOWER, never both at once.

The Huge Jack-o'-lantern asks for everything

The Extra section opens at 28 different items, and the shop has exactly 28 before it. In other words: the giant pumpkin costs just 1 FLOWER, but to buy it you must have bought everything else: about 8,000 Halloween Tokens and 1,150 FLOWER.

Halloween Ticket: costs 100 tokens and you can buy lots. Hold on to them: when the event ends they go into a FLOWER draw.
The three keys (Treasure, Rare and Luxury) are the same ones that open the game's chests; here they cost tokens only.
The Super Totem does what the Time Warp Totem does, but for 7 days. It is the priciest thing in tokens: 2,000.
Tokens are no use after the event: spend them before it ends.

Does any prize give a boost?

Only the Super Totem, which speeds up your farm for 7 days. The new decorations and outfits give no boost on the farm. The event outfits do buff one weapon inside the minigame, though wearing any buff wearable costs you the ×1.1 score bonus. The decorations can be sold on the marketplace; the outfits cannot.

Crows and pumpkins: the decorations

The event brings 18 new decorations, almost all of them crows in costume. None gives a boost: they are for dressing up your farm. All of them will be tradable on the marketplace, unlike the event outfits, which cannot be sold. Thirteen are in the shop; these five are not:

The Cultist Crow is Vampire Jim's gift. The other four already exist in the game, but how to get them is not known yet.

What is worth doing

On day one, travel to the island and claim Vampire Jim's Cultist Crow. It is free.
Play Sunflower Survivors often: tokens only come from there and the event lasts 11 days.
To open sections fast, buy the cheapest different items first: Lual Crow and Vampire Footwear cost 100 tokens each, and Destroyed Sign just 10 FLOWER.
A single Halloween Ticket already counts as a different item and gets you into the draw. The rest only add entries.

Where all this comes from

Sunflower Land's code is public: before reaching the game, every change is proposed and reviewed on GitHub. This event comes from a single community-made proposal, approved on October 23; when it was approved, the start moved to October 26.
